Overview

VDOT's enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) is a map-based graphical user interface that links various types of transportation data with digital map data. Beyond the traditional views of information such as tables and spreadsheets, the GIS enables an additional way of visualizing information via the map interface using the concept of layers of information that can be turned on or off for display and query. Examples of GIS information available to the public can be found on the left of this page. Check back to this site regularly as more information will be accessible as it becomes available.
